The board of Rydex funds has become adept at dealing with changes in the management structure at advisory firm Rydex SGI. Most recently trustees have been engaging executives about the status of Guggenheim Partners’ integration of the Rydex and Claymore Securities businesses. Guggenheim said in September it would merge all 11 of its asset management businesses into a new firm named Guggenheim Investments and rebrand its funds—including Rydex’s exchange-traded funds—with the Guggenheim name.
